CELEBRATE STOCKPORT TOWN HALL CENTENARY (FREE EVENT) 13th July 2008 To commemorate 100 years of Stockport's Town Hall, a free event, featuring ice-skating rink, street theatre, live music and spectacular firework finale, will take place on Sunday 13th July from 1pm-10pm. STOCKPORT TO STALYBRIDGE FOLK TRAIN: SATURDAY 26TH JULY 2008 26th July 2008 On Saturday 26th July, the Friends of Reddish South Station have arranged for a Folk Train from Stockport to Stalybridge via Reddish South. The train departs Stockport at 11:28, Reddish South 11:33(after which the music begins), Denton 11:37 and Guide Bridge 11:43, before arriving at Stalybridge. The music then continues in the award winning Stalybridge station Buffet, where food is available.
