Wilmslow benefits from excellent rail connections, with four trains an hour to Manchester, hourly services to Manchester Airport, Shrewsbury and South Wales, and a new hourly direct service to London.
The town is reputed for its good nightlife, with numerous pubs, bars and restaurants. High quality shopping is a given with many specialist independent shops being based in the compact town centre. Wilmslow is also home to an artisan market which takes place on the third Saturday of every month adjacent to Alderley Road where you can also find the Rex cinema.
The Carrs Park runs along the River Bollin from the town centre all the way to Styal Country Park. It hosts the popular free Parkrun and Junior Parkrun events each weekend and has walking trails, a play area, tennis courts, a skatepark, cafe and public toilets.

For the more active, Wilmslow also gives easy access to the Bollin Way and the North Cheshire Way.
Lindow Moss, one of the largest lowland peatlands in Cheshire, is a 1.2 mile walk from the station and the site of the gruesome discovery of the Lindow Man, an iron age bog body, which is on display in the British Museum.
Wilmslow Station is adopted by the Wilmslow in Bloom group who have provided attractive floral displays in borders and planters across the station.
