About Manchester Airport Railway Station

Why not avoid the hassle of driving to the airport and parking, by taking the train instead? The train station is situated right in the heart of the airport, with good interchange opportunities between train and bus. Journey times are 6 minutes from Wilmslow, and less than 35 minutes from Crewe. Trains operate hourly from Crewe during Monday-Saturday, and once every two hours on Sundays via a change of train (please note: some Monday-Saturday evening services to and from the Airport start and terminate at Wilmslow, with connecting services to and from stations further South).

Why not pay a visit to Runway Visitor Park, where Concorde can be viewed.  Bus 200 runs hourly to the viewing park from Wilmslow and Styal.

The Airport also makes a good base from which to explore the Cheshire countryside by bus. Service 200 links the Airport to the National Trust run Quarry Bank Mill and Styal Estate, whilst the Busybus Big House Tour offers a hop-on hop-off service on Sundays and Bank Holidays in summer, calling at a number of Cheshire’s tourist attractions, including Tatton Park, Arley Hall and Anderton Boat Lift.

Manchester Airport and TfGM have published an easy 8 mile Orbital Cycle Route Map which can be accessed from Manchester Airport, Styal and Heald Green Stations.
