Passengers who regularly use services operated by Avanti on the West Coast Main line should be aware that a new timetable will come into force from 14 December.
While a handful of services will be removed, additional services will be added, further building on the uplift in services seen in both May and September. The total number of services operated by Avanti will reach 2,078, the highest ever.
Some of the additional services include weekday connections between London and Liverpool, and London and Crewe. There are also some existing service changes, with some routes calling at additional stations.
A few services will be removed where Avanti has not been granted access rights for them. This includes four weekday services (including the 7am, weekday service from Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston) and a Sunday service (from Holyhead to London, to terminate at Crewe). These services will no longer be operated by Avanti from 14 December.
The new timetable can be downloaded from the Avanti website. Passengers are reminded that there will still be disruption and temporary service changes during Christmas and New Year to allow for upgrade works.
