As part of the Rail 200 celebrations and the annual Goosfest festival, Goostrey Station is holding an open day at the station on 27th Sept 10am till 13:00 hrs.
Refreshments will be available and the Ticket office will be accessible. At around 12 noon a time capsule will be inserted into the grassy bank adjacent to the station car park.
Currently they are also having a series of Historical boards created about the history of the station and the people who actually worked at the station as part of the Rail 200 / Goosfest event. A lot of the photographs come from the Goostrey Archive Group, and these photo boards will be eventually situated around the station.
