From 2008 onwards, there will be a free shuttle bus linking the train station to the main shopping areas and heritage attractions. Stockport bus station is a 7-8 minute walk from the train station, and the route is clearly signposted from the main entrance.

HERITAGE OPEN DAYS 10TH - 12TH SEPTEMBER - FREE ENTRANCE TO LOCAL VISITOR ATTRACTIONS

A number of local visitor attractions which can be accessed from the Crewe-Manchester line will be offering free admission as part of the national Heritage Open Days initiative from Friday 10th - Sunday 12th September.

There will also be tours of private buildings which are normally closed to the public.
