NEW MAGICAL GARDEN OPENED AT QUARRY BANK MILL

The new 'Magical Garden' at Quarry Bank Mill has been opened. Volunteers have recreated the 18th century design which has lay untouched until November of 2007.
This week see's the opening of the new 'Magical Garden' at Quarry Bank Mill. The 18th century designed garden was planted by the founder of the mill Samual Greg but has been untouched until November of 2007 where upon over 60 volunteers from the local community, including local children, craftsmen and inmates of Styal Prison, worked on the gardens.
Using old photographs from 1869 as a guide the volunteers have tried to recreate what the garden would have looked like in its heyday.
