LIVE MUSIC TRAIN TO GOOSTREY: THURSDAY 29TH OCTOBER
29th October 2009
On Thursday 29th October, the ‘Hatstand Medicine Band' will be playing on the 19:04 train from Manchester to Goostrey as part of Levenshulme festival, an annual festival in Levenshulme celebrating different styles of art which is running from Friday 23rd October to Sunday 8th November 2009. For further information on the festival and a full list of performers, please visit their dedicated website.
The train calls at Levenshulme (19:09), Heaton Chapel (19:12), Stockport (19:17), Cheadle Hulme (19:24), Handforth (19:28), Wilmslow (19:31), Alderley Edge (19:34) and Chelford (19:38), before arriving at Goostrey. The 'Hatstand Medicine Band' perform their popular old-time Blues, rags and reels, featuring original material, which is popular with all age groups and an exciting night of music and joviality can be guaranteed. Upon arrival at Goostrey, the music continues in the Red Lion pub, a short 7-8 minute walk from the station, before returning on the 22:01 departure from Goostrey back up to Manchester. Note that this train does not call at Heaton Chapel and Levenshulme - for these stations, passengers change at Stockport onto the 22:35 departure to Bolton, which calls at both stations. If two of you are travelling together, you can save 25% off the cost of your journey with a Duo ticket.
