FLORAL BOOST FOR WILMSLOW STATION
14th March 2008

Rail travel will now be a much more floral experience for local passengers following the introduction of planters and colourful signage at Wilmslow Railway Station Over 20 planters have been installed courtesy of Cheshire’s Year of the Gardens, the Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnership, Northern Rail, Virgin Trains, local Chartered Accountants Phibbs- Edge, Brookside Garden Centre and the Wilmslow Lions Club.

This adds to the projects planned at Sandbach, Holmes Chapel, Goostrey, Chelford and Handforth. At the launch Northern Rail’s Client & Stakeholder Manager West, Mark Barker said: “Wilmslow Station has been transformed by this project and Northern Rail are delighted to have been involved.
