AWARD FOR HOLMES CHAPEL IN THE 'OUTSTANDING STAFF' CATEGORY AT THE ACORP AWARDS.

The Community Rail Partnership is happy to announce that Graham Blake has been awarded third place in the category of 'outstanding staff contribution' at the recent ACORP awards dinner hosted in Carlisle.

Amongst Graham's achievements has been the massively succesful book rental scheme which allows for passengers to rent books from Holmes Chapel Rail Station at no charge. The scheme has been so popular it now rivals the local Library in terms of popularity and is a prime example of how Graham's dedication to passenger  service has resulted in a local station that residents recognise as an attractive form of travel, a point re inforced by Graham's popularity with passengers at Holmes Chapel.

Nik Matuszczak form the Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnership commented, 'on the occasions I have visited the station in Holmes Chapel I have been struck by how familiar Graham is with passengers, often engaging them in conversation on the facilities at the station and upcoming news affecting the Crewe to Manchester line that may affect their journey in the near future. We at the Partnership are delighted to hear of the official recognition that Graham has achieved at the ACORP awards evening.'
