'COMBINED ENTRY TICKET' INTRODUCED FOR HERITAGE ATTRACTIONS IN STOCKPORT
You can now buy a ‘Combined Entry Ticket’ for Stockport attractions so you can visit more attractions, for less! In a bid to combat the financial squeeze, visitors can now visit Staircase House, and the Air Raid Shelters in Stockport plus Bramall Hall, near Cheadle Hulme for as little as £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and children. The recently launched combined ticket is available to buy at each of the three attractions.
Staircase House and the Air Raid Shelters are easily accessible from Stockport train station. Bramall Hall is situated just over a mile away from Cheadle Hulme station.

CHELFORD PRIMARY SCHOOL ENJOYS FREE TRAIN TRIP TO MANCHESTER
On 13th November pupils and staff from Chelford Primary School enjoyed a day trip to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. Free train tickets were provided by the Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnership in order to promote rail travel as an efficient travel option for school trips.

NEW VISITOR ATTRACTIONS GUIDE FOR CREWE-MANCHESTER LINE
A new visitor attractions guide for the line, produced by Northern Rail in conjunction with the Community Rail Partnership, will be published in July. The guide will feature a number of discounts, including Quarry Bank Mill, Stockport Air Raid Shelters, Bramall Hall and Crewe Rail Heritage Centre.
The guide will shortly be available, free of charge, from staffed train stations and tourist information centres. Alternatively, you can order a copy in advance by contacting the Rail Partnership via the Contact Us button at the top of this page.
METROLINK ENGINEERING WORKS IN MANCHESTER

STYAL 100: RAIL CENTENARY FUN DAY CELEBRATED AT QUARRY BANK MILL ON 17TH MAY
The Centenary of the line through Styal was celebrated at Quarry Bank Mill on Sunday 17th May. This free event featured a host of fun Victorian-themed childrens activities, model rail displays, heritage exhibition, guided walks and chances to win free rail tickets. The event was used to launch a new service on Sundays calling at Styal every two hours, and a new offer for rail ticket holders visiting Quarry Bank Mill who can now visit the Apprentice House or Secret Garden for free upon purchase of a main admission ticket.
EXTRA SERVICE TO BIRMINGHAM REINSTATED AT STOCKPORT

HIGH SHERIFF OF CHESHIRE PAYS VISIT TO HOLMES CHAPEL STATION
On Sunday 19th October, the High Sheriff of Cheshire paid a visit to Holmes Chapel Station to oversee the latest bulb-planting being carried out by Holmes Chapel Scouts. Holmes Chapel is the latest station on the line to have been brightened up with flowers. Both platforms, and the car-park, have benefited from flower tubs, which have added a touch of colour to the station. Additional bulb-planting has been carried out adjacent to the ticket office.

TIMETABLE CHANGES FROM 14TH DECEMBER
