The guide will shortly be available, free of charge, from staffed train stations and tourist information centres. The Centenary of the line through Styal was celebrated at Quarry Bank Mill on Sunday 17th May. This free event featured a host of fun Victorian-themed childrens activities, model rail displays, heritage exhibition, guided walks and chances to win free rail tickets. The event was used to launch a new service on Sundays calling at Styal every two hours, and a new offer for rail ticket holders visiting Quarry Bank Mill who can now visit the Apprentice House or Secret Garden for free upon purchase of a main admission ticket.
