FORTHCOMING FOLK TRAINS
11th December 2009 - 13th March 2010

There will be a number of Folk Trains taking place over the winter months on other lines - all of these are organised by the Hope Valley and High Peak Community Rail Partnership - see the dedicated website or ring 0161 244 1880 for further details.

Saturday 9th January: Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English and American tunes, songs and dances from the Travelling People, appearing on the 11:45am train from Manchester Piccadilly to Hathersage, returning on the 14:32 train back to Manchester. In Hathersage, the band plays in the Little John Hotel.

Thursday 28th January: The Hatstand Medicine Band playing Old Time songs, Blues and Jug, appearing on the 18:48 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Glossop. The band play at the Glossop Labour Club before returning on the 21:39 train from Glossop back to Manchester.

Saturday 13th February: The Cajun Specials playing Cajun music from the Deep South, appearing on the 11:45am train from Manchester Piccadilly to Hathersage, returning on the 14:32 train back to Manchester. In Hathersage, the band plays in the Little John Hotel.

Thursday 25th February: Geoff Higginbottom will be playing traditional and contemporary Folk, appearing on the 18:48 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Glossop. Geoff Higginbottom will play at the Glossop Labour Club before returning on the 21:39 train from Glossop back to Manchester.

Saturday 13th March:  The Cowboy Outfit will be playing Country, Swing and Honky-tonk on the 11:45am train from Manchester Piccadilly to Hathersage, returning on the 14:32 train back to Manchester. In Hathersage, the band plays in the Little John Hotel.
