HERITAGE OPEN DAYS 10TH - 12TH SEPTEMBER - FREE ENTRANCE TO LOCAL VISITOR ATTRACTIONS 10th September 2010
A number of local visitor attractions which can be accessed from the Crewe-Manchester line will be offering free admission as part of the national Heritage Open Days initiative from Friday 10th - Sunday 12th September.

A 4 mile circular walk exploring the countryside around Chelford is now available. The walk which starts and finishes at Chelford train station gives a perfect introduction to the picturesque countryside which surrounds the village. The walk is available to download here. Every Friday from 23rd July to 10th September inclusive, the 'Scarborough Flyer' Steam Train operated by the Railway Touring Company, will run from Crewe, Wilmslow and Stockport to York and Scarborough.
